RUN (and Walk) FOR CONGO WOMEN
The Global Kitchen formed a team to participate in Run for Congo Women in Portland, Oregon on June 26th. We had 14 people, including two mother/daughter pairs. We are still accepting donations through July 10th to help women in the Congo through Women for Women International. For more information click on the tab above titled 'Congo Women'. INFORMATIONAL EVENING & SLIDE SHOW
Our Executive Director will be showing photos of her recent trip to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand. Join us to hear about the women she met and see the incredible photos of the women, markets and landscapes of this region. 501(c)(3) APRROVED!
The U.S. government approved our application for nonprofit status! We are now officially a 501(c)(3) organization. This means we passed the rigorous screening to meet IRS nonprofit standards and that donations to The Global Kitchen are tax deductible.
