RUN FOR CONGO WOMEN A HUGE SUCCESS!!!

On July 23rd The Global Kitchen Team participated in Run for Congo Women in Portland, Oregon. This was our second year participating in the event that raises money for Women for Women International and their program that supports women in the Congo.

This year we doubled the size of the team, raised over $3,000 and sponsored 6 women for the year long program! Click on the 'Congo Women' tab above for more information and to see a slide show of this year's event.

The U.S. government approved our application for nonprofit status - we are a 501(c)(3) organization. This means we passed the rigorous screening to meet IRS nonprofit standards and that donations to The Global Kitchen are tax deductible.
